Understanding TDS and pH for Good Health
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids): Measured in parts per million (ppm), TDS indicates the amount of dissolved substances in water.
- 0-150 ppm: Ideal for drinking, low mineral content, pure taste.
- 150-500 ppm: Acceptable, may contain beneficial minerals.
- Above 500 ppm: May affect taste and health; filtration recommended.
pH Level: Measures water acidity or alkalinity on a scale of 0-14.
- 6.5-8.5: Optimal for drinking, neutral to slightly alkaline.
- Below 6.5: Acidic, may corrode pipes or affect health.
